David George Decker, son of James Eugene Decker and Mattine Ferguson, was born on 30 Mar 1926 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota,1, 2 was christened on 17 Apr 1927 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, died on 23 Sep 1983 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, at age 57,1, 2 and was buried in Sep 1983 in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota.3 The cause of his death was stroke.
General Notes: Dave was an active man who enjoyed all sports and the typical Minnesota pastimes of fishing and hunting. He bowled, golfed, and played softball in leagues through Honeywell and his church. He was very involved in politics, and was never afraid to speak his mind when he found it necessary to do so.

David married Louise Harriet Berry, daughter of Lloyd Gustav Berry and Sara Margaret Withee, on 10 Jun 1949 in Preston, Fillmore, Minnesota.5 Louise was born on 29 Sep 1924 in Glencoe, McCleod, Minnesota6, 7, died on 6 Sep 1996 in St. Louis Park, Hennepin, Minnesota, at age 716, 7, and was buried on 10 Sep 1996 in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota.8 The cause of her death was pneumonia after suffering a stroke from Giant Cell Arteritis.
General Notes: Lou was an avid bowler, bowling in several leagues a week until she was well into her 60's. She was an expert seamstress, and in later years worked for Minnesota Fabrics (now Hancock Fabrics) in Bloomington, Minnesota. She loved reading, and had a special interest in reading about European royalty and nobility. She had a large doll collection, with the main focus being on Shirley Temple dolls. Shirley Temple had been her childhood idol as she was growing up in the 1930's. Her other interests and hobbies included gardening, crosswords, and card playing.

• She graduated from Preston High School in Preston, Minnesota in 1942.
• After a brief time at Winona State Teacher's College in Winona, Minnesota, she went to Washington, D.C. to work for the government during World War II.
• After the war ended in 1945, she returned to Minnesota and lived in Minneapolis. She worked in St. Paul for the Minnesota State Legislature and later worked for Powers Department Store in downtown Minneapolis.
