When you camp in the Forest in the autumn, you risk cold, rainy, even snowy weather, but the sights you are treated to at this time of year are well worth the risk. The scene in this photo, taken in October 1995, was one of these treats. This is one of the islands in Two Island Lake, shot from our campsite in the Two Island Lake National Forest Campground. What a treat it was! Rain, fog, and cold had given way to a beautiful, sunny day with the temperature in the 60's.

This photo was taken with a Honeywell Pentax SP-1000 (Spotmatic) camera using a 80-200mm zoom lens and Kodak Royal Gold 400 film.

The digital image was created by submitting the photo to AOL's Picture Web. It was then converted and retouched using Corel Photo Paint 5 and Paint Shop Pro for Windows.
