Two Island Lake is located about 12 miles from Grand Marais on a side road off of the Gunflint Trail. It boasts a beautiful 36 site National Forest Campground, in which there is almost always an open site, as well as a nice boat launch. This is a favorite haunt of mine. Fishing isn't bad - I've caught many Small Mouth Bass right from shore at the boat launch. The scenery here is beautiful, and it's right off of Forest Road 170, which is the best grouse hunting road in the Forest (that I've found anyway...)

This shot was taken in 1989 of a storm passing over the lake at sunset. I took it from the campsite I was in which overlooked the lake.

This photo was taken with a Honeywell Pentax SP-1000 (Spotmatic) camera using a 30mm wide angle lens and Kodacolor Gold 200 film.

The digital image was created by having it put on on Photo CD, then converting and retouching it using Corel Photo Paint 5 and Paint Shop Pro for Windows.
