One of the prettiest roads in the Forest is Forest Road 340 which angles its way down from Forest Road 170 to the Caribou Trail. This was not the prettiest spot that we saw on the road on our October 1995 drive, but I thought it was one of the more interesting spots because of all of the contrasting colors. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't do it justice - partially because the built-in light meter in my poor old Pentax wasn't working at the time. I couldn't get a battery for it anywhere! :( Thanks to my friend Erlys in California though - she found me a battery out there, so the old Spotmatic is up and running again. :D
This photo was taken with a Honeywell Pentax SP-1000 (Spotmatic) camera using an 80-200mm zoom lens and Kodak Royal Gold 400 film.
The digital image was created by submitting the photo to AOL's Picture Web. It was then converted and retouched using Adobe Photo Deluxe and Paint Shop Pro for Windows.
