This was actually sort of a tongue-in-cheek shot, but it turned out pretty nice. This is my dad's old Coleman lantern that he bought with Green Stamps back in the 1950's. Interesting, isn't it, that I still haven't found another lantern that burns as bright, and is as reliable as "old red" here. No, they don't make things the way they used to... :-( This was shot looking up the hill to our campsite at Two Island Lake in the summer of 1993.
This photo was taken with a Honeywell Pentax SP-1000 (Spotmatic) camera using an 80-200mm zoom lens and Ektar 100 film.
The digital image was created by having it put on on Photo CD, then converting and retouching it using Corel Photo Paint 5 and Paint Shop Pro for Windows.
