One of the most amazing things about Lake Superior is how different it can behave on any given day. Some days, it is almost perfectly still like a small pond... other days the waves are crashing the shore like the ocean. I've seen larger waves on Superior than they were on this day in the summer of 1987, but they were coming in strong enough to get my friend and I good and wet... is the water cold? Whew, is it ever!
