Sharon =
RHS Salutitorian, 1960.
Hamline University, 1964.
Language Teacher = German and French.
Several Summer Institutes [ie Goethe] and trips to Europe.
Several Saratoga High School class trips to Europe.
School Districts taught in:
Rochester MN, 1964 thru (?)1967/68.
Saratoga Springs NY, developed their German program,
(?)1967/68 through 1998.
Sharon took early retirement with husband Jerry Yarter.
[Jerry is quite a guy, one of the best a brother could ask for.]
Renovating 1820 farm [large house and stable/etc] and pasture/large woods. Hard work, yet time for fun: Horse-back riding their Morgens; boating on Lake George, and skiing at Gore Mtn. Too busy of late for snow-mobiles or golfing.
Since Ross' visit to see them in late sept 2000, he is certain his purchase of a Yankees Base Ball cap has made a huge differece in the play-offs and series,...as Jerry's beloved Yankees pulled it around.

Other: I'm a State Senior Hydrologist and have worked for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Waters for 25 years. I served 4 years active duty in the United States Air Force and 4 years active reserve in the United States Army. I attended Army OCS in 1967 and graduated a 2nd lieutenant. After serving in the Air Force, and while in the U. S. Army Reserves, I Attended the University of Minnesota and graduated majoring in Geology. I started my working career with Twin City Testing and worked in Norfolk,Nebraska, St. Paul, Fergus Falls and Mankato, Minnesota and Appleton, Wisconsin. Traveling got old and my wife and I wanted to settle down, so I took a job with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in 1979. We've been stuck in Lino Lakes since then.

In 1974 I married my wife, Mary. We have 3 wonderful daughters and 2.5 grandchildren (one in the hopper). My oldest daughter, Holly is 26, a Bio-Med college graduate, a group home supervisor, married and works in St. Cloud. My middle daughter, Vicki is 21 and going to college locally. My youngest daughter, Jessie is 18 and is attending the United States Air Force Academy. She wants to be a jet fighter pilot - gives me gray hair.

My hobbies include astronomy with my 11 inch, go-to, computerized telescope, flying radio controlled airplanes, collecting stamps, hunting and fishing, biking, plastic model aircraft kit building, fossil hunting, nature watching and butterfly/moth collecting. I have lots to keep me buisy when my kids let me retire.

Other: Basically retired, managing personal investments. Still happily married to my high school sweetheart (Joan Carson, class of '62) for 40 years. Children: Bradley, 38 (Burnsville, MN), Blair, 36 (Apple Valley), Bryan, 32 and wife Naomi Hoshino (London, UK). Joan and I are rabid NBA fans with Timberwolves season tickets occupying our Fall, Winter and Spring months; and then relaxing in the off season attending car cruises and shows with our modified DRM '99 Corvette show/race car.

Other: I retired from the Army after serving 30 years and now work for the Chief, Army Reserve in a civilian capacity as the Deputy Chief, General Officer Management Office. I'm married to Deanna Erickson of Everett, WA. I have three children and one grandson. We are active in the Norwegian community here in the Washington, DC area. We snow ski in the winter and canoe and kayak in the summer. I have been an active Scouter for over 30 years. I am also active in the MG Car Club. We plan on retiring for good next year and will move to Poulsbo, WA. on the Olympic Penninsula.

Other: Retired in 2004 to pursue hobbies including genealogy, lunches with my daughter and granddaughter, traveling, dinners with cousins and sister, piano lessons, coffee with friends, exercise, etc. Have a grand "boyfriend," Curt, a wonderful daughter and son-in-law, Christine and her husband Paul and two amazing grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsey and my wonderful son, Anthony ! A colorful and fun extended family and friends including Linda, Carolyn, Bonnie, Judy, Jeanne, Julie and of course, Russell and Richard W., and have to mention my friend Janice whom I miss much since her death in 1996.

Bob is the Director of Technical Services for the district and I am the Sr. computer Technician for the district. There are about 15 people in or department. Other: Office Manager at Children's Crisis Center. We are trained case coordinators who do the interviews of the children and make recommendations for victims of child abuse to Department of Children and Families and Law Enforcement.

Married to George for 41 years this August. He is Service Manager for Thompson Pump in Jacksonville, FL. He retired as a Senior Chief in the Navy in 1983 with 24 years.

Have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Chris is 39, service manger, married to a nurse and they have our grandson Evan who is 7. Elizabeth is 38, data processor married to Brad and they have our granddaughter, Kristen who is 17, junior class secretary and a level 10 gymnist. Jennifer is 29, single and is a Deputy for the Palm Beach Sheriffs Office.

Hobbies----cruising on our motorcycle,(we go on alot of runs for charity) and fishing freshwater from our boat. Husband has RC airplanes. Drag raced for many many years at Gainesville home of the Gatornationals.

Other: Retired after teaching physical education and coaching girls golf for 30 years. I continue to keep my hand in education by substituting. I enjoy spending four months each winter in Southern California visiting Mom and the rest of the sisters. Two daughters: Tami in St. Louis Park and Sheri in Waupun, Wi. Sheri and her husband have three children. I spend most summer nights watching softball or baseball games. The older girls also play volleyball and basketball. I play as much golf as I am able to during the summer, but really get into it playing with sister, Linda ('61) during the winter months.
