Retired in June 06. Wife is undecided about retiring, but hopefully it will happen in the next year or two.
Enjoying time spent with two grandsons immensely. Our daughter was tragically killed 8 years ago, but the cycle of life is renewed with these little guys, and we are so blessed.
Hobbies; still tinkering with antique autos, spending time at the lake, hunting, fishing, and somehow trying to spend more time in Arizona during these frigid Winters.

Other: After graduating from the University of MN in 1968, joined IBM in Minneapolis in Customer Engineering Administration. Moved on to Corporate Internal Audit in 1972 and held various management positions including Executive Director of Internal Audit for the Americas/Far East Corporation. Finished my career in various management positions for Corporate Financial Systems. Spent most of my career on the international side of IBM's business, travelling all over the world, including two 4 year assignments in Paris, France. Married Janet Richter (Bloomington '66) in 1968 and our son Christopher was born in Paris in 1981. Took an early retirement from IBM in 1993 and bought Mountview Plaza Wines & Liquor in 1994 and continue to operate same. Moved to an over 55 community on the 12th hole of Oxford Greens Golf Course, one of the top ranked public golf courses in CT. Playing golf and looking forward to retirement (who isn't?) and getting back to Mpls. for one of the class reunions.

Other: In 1972 my husband and I left Minnesota to move to New Jersey. We lived there for 24 years and in 1996 moved to Delaware. We have 2 grown children Sean, 33years old and Kirstin 30 years old. They are both married and have given us a total of 5 beautiful grandchildren - 4 girls and 1 boy all under the age of 6. I am a first grade teacher in New Jersey where I have taught for 15 years. I still make the daily commute from Delaware. I return to Minnesota 2-3 times a year to visit my mother and my brother and his family.

Other: My sister Lynn Ann worked for NW & Braniff Airlines in reservations for a few years after graduation, living in Milwaukee WI & Dallas TX.
In 1967 she married a fellow from Dallas. They had a sweet little girl named Cheryl Ann. Unfortunately the marriage ended & Lynn Ann & Cheryl moved to San Jose CA in 1972. After only a short period of time living in CA they were involved in a terrible car accident. Thankfully little 2 yr. old Cheryl survived without a scratch but Lynn suffered major trauma. Lynn remained in a coma for several months; Miraculously she awoke and has lived 30 years longer than the docs predicted. Unable to live on her own my dear sister has lived in a care facility ever since.

My idea of relaxation and fun is heading over to the Dakota Bar and Grill or the Artist Quarter for an evening of good jazz or heading to Whiskey Junction for lots of dancing to a rockin blues band. I love the Bayfront Blues Festival in Duluth every year and hit the Chicago Blues Festival 2 years ago.
My dream this year is to cut back on nursing hours in the ER and buy a home that needs some rehabing and loving care, not for me but for resale.

Other: I've lived in Alaska since 1987, working for the state as an administrator. It's been a great place for adventures and exploration. I married after graduation from St. Olaf College in 1968, we divorced in 1994. Two sons, one deceased in 1997, the other working and attending college in Anchorage . I retired in May of 2007 and plan to move to a more temperate climate, probably in the Southwest, but haven't been able to sell my condominium. Enjoyed the reunion, could have used some more time to visit with some folks. I still play tennis, usually three times a week, and I enjoy biking, hiking, and skiing, as well as reading.

We live in the country (sort of) because the city is getting closer and closer and have lived here for 21 years. Prior to that we lived in Mpls. I work for a computer company in Edina (Analysts International) and have been there 16 years. We have a lake home in Wisconsin which we love, and go there almost every week-end. Even though I never graduated from RHS, I still feel like one of the gang. Those were great times and I remember them well.

Other: After graduating from Richfield High School, I earned my BSc and Masters degree in Spanish, with minors in French and Arabic. During my journeys to Europe between college years, I met my husband, who is an Englishman. We started our married life in Liverpool, England, where our oldest son Jonathan was born in 1973. Then we moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where our other 4 children were born, 3 more boys (Christopher, Samuel and James) and a daughter (Elizabeth). While there I taught Spanish at Queen's University in Belfast. In 1989, we moved to Louisiana and are currently living in Lake Charles, where I am Assistant Professor of Spanish at McNeese State University and my husband is the minister of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. Our sons are grown and all graduated from college, pursuing their careers in accounting and finance, statistics, the US military (via West Point),and music, and our daughter is about to start college as an art major at LSU next fall. Other: This is an update. We're still in the Seattle area. We left Richfield in 1967 and moved to Billings. From there we moved to Hawaii and have been in this area since 1986. Jennifer is now 32 and has two boys and has been married for 12 years. Jack, our son is 29 and isn't married.

We started our own business in 2002, late. It's been doing well and we're in our second year. We restore and resurface concrete.

I am still an artist at heart and went from designing for the craft industry and being certified with two trade organizations to now playing in the mud! I have a concrete art studio and create some pretty neat things with cement.....yard art I like to call it.

We would love to have you drop by if you get out our way. There's plenty of room with the kids gone and plenty of room for campers/trailers/motorhomes, etc.

Other: I married Barb from Bloomington (high school sweet heart) during college. Our two kids are both married and we have 4 grandsons now, spend summers in northern Minnesota and the winter in the Twin City area as I am mostly retired having spent 33 years as an insurance broker in the Twin City area. I am absolutely sick of that and prefer to cut trees, fish with the grandchildren or do anything else that is equally important. Other: Hello--I have had an anything but dull life. I have lived in 3 other states. New Mexico for 21 years. I have 2 children John Jr age 27 and Pamela age 25. I have 1 beautiful grandbaby Ethan who is 2 1/2. I love being a grandparent. I graduated in 1985 from college . I have been Medical for most of 18 years. I am no longer working now as I have inherited some health problems. I am single and pretty much enjoying it better than my past disasters. I will be moving up to the Mountains to finish this lifetime out and I am really looking forward to being able to take my shoes off and sit down. I am a very spiritual Christian but not a Bible thumper. I have copped the attitude that I dare to be my old Flower Child self. I wear neon colors every chance I get. My child is safe to come out now and its a lot of fun. I dare to be different and really am not affected by what others think. I talk a lot and I entertain a lot. I have continued my singing in Church and have belonged in a trio called Trinity. I have also sung Sweet Adelines and New Mexico Womens Chorus. I love Gospel music--especially the Gaithers. I was country for many years and now its Gospel and Easy listening. I have been having Senior Moments once in a while but I have not totally lost it yet. I love it when I goof up and I say--"OOOOPS--I had a senior moment" Works every time. I'll shut up now, but I would love to rememinisce with anyone who remembers me. Other: Hi Everyone! I was disappointed to have missed the last reunion, and would love to hear some stories about it. Life has been generally good---have lived in Southern California for the past 30 years, with 5 years in Hawaii before that---obviously avoiding snow banks! My husband, Gil, and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversay this year----we have had a great "ride", with a passion for ocean sports fishing that has taken us all over the world. He had a world record marlin of 1062 1/2 lbs! My largest was only 540! I worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker, and Gil was a orange farmer, as his family settled much of the area, going back to the Spanish Land Grants. We have been retired for years, and I took up golf, as we live on a golf course. However, we will be moving in the next few months to another home here in San Juan Capistrano, that I am remodeling now to accomodate some live-in help. Gil's health includes dementia, so that is why I need some help, and want to keep him at home. Got thrown a huge curveball last month, with a breast cancer diagnosis for me----I've had the surgery, and am now embarking on the lovely journey of chemotherapy and radiation. But I have a huge amount of support from friends and family, and my attitude is good, so hopefully, these awful drugs they pump into you will work!

Other: I married in 1982 and moved to California. Since then, we have lived in Virginia, Texas, Southern Alabama, and now Northern Alabama, next to Huntsville. We didn't want or have any children. I became a Registered Nurse in 1993, and am one of the few RN's in the USA who actually likes her/his job. I miss Minnesota fishing for walleyes, but Alabama bass fishing makes up for it. I would like to return to Minnesota for the 40 year reunion, if anybody lets me know when and where it will be.
