Other: It was wonderful to meet and see classmates and friends at our 40th reunion last year. I especially enjoyed our ace reunion committee and miss our getting together for meetings. I am working downtown at a public relations firm, Padilla Speer Beardsley and living in Apple Valley. My house will go on the market next month and I am hoping to score a condo this time so I can enjoy playing more and working less. My three sons are grown (27, 24, 20) and I am proud of the men they are. I am widowed (four years) and am taking dancing lessons tonight! I love getting together with friends and family. Our family is heavily involved in musical theater activities in Grand Rapids, MN. Worked at the Mayo Clinic while there and now I am sort of semi-retired in beautiful SUNNY Sun City, AZ. I have been married 30 years to my husband Roger who has been retired for two years. Needless to say retirement is one of my top goals in the next year or two. I have two stepsons, Tyron is in St. Cloud and Brian is in Sioux Falls, Jon passed away four years ago. We have three lovely granddaughters, two of them are 17 and one is 13. Other: I've been living in SW Florida since 1979, and am a sales agent for a local insurance agency. My daughter Kristen, 33, is finishing her master's degree while working full time at University of Central Florida in Orlando. We've made 4 trips to Europe together and are planning a 5th next year. My son Keith, 30, is a monitor board engineer and does concert sound around the world. He's worked with KISS, Guns 'n' Roses, Foreigner and many others--currently on tour with Hilary Duff. For the last 10 years I've been very lucky to have a wonderful companion, Dave, a local architect. Dave loans me his grandkids, since my children only have 2 cats and a dog! Would love to hear from classmates.

Other: 30 Aug 07- Still very retired and loving it. Headed back to Colorado Springs to help my very healhty, almost blind, Mother. God has blessed her with strength to race with the energizer bunny. We talk almost daily and I find it best to return to the nest with the Grandchildren. Long distance has its advantages but to far for genuine hugs. The wife is still in Iraq with the Army and due to return to Germany in Nov or Dec. After more than four years on active duty and re-enlisted until Nov 09 she has decided to remain in Europe. She likes the Army better than she likes her family. Spoils of war I guess. I still support the efforts of our American Servicemembers to achieve the goal of a unified people's of Iraq. Hopefully the Iraqi children will have a better country to raise their children. I will be glad to see the as many as possible at our reunion. God's speed to one and all.

Other: WOW! Back in 1967, who would have imagined e-mail and the Web! After graduating, worked at Methodist Hospital, joined the Air Force for four years, did newspaper and radio work, went to Augsburg College on scholarship and GI Bill graduating in 1978. Spent the next 20 years in advertising and public relations.

Joined the Ventura Administration in 1999 and am now Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

Married Cheryl Wachter (RHS '68) in 1972. Now living in southwest Minneapolis in house originally built in 1921 for grandparents.

Couldn't help but notice that two of the classmates I see most often are Bill Haas and Sue Farnham - both on the missing list!!

Other: I have lived in the same home in Minneapolis for the last 30 years and have been married to the same wonderful woman for 31 years. I have three grown children and no grandchildren (yet). I continue to see many of my friends from RHS on a regular basis. As in High School cars and motorcycles are still my passion and I currently own an old Triumph MC, a 1949 Packard and a 1952 MGTD. As I write this I am the chairman of the Minnesota MG T Register, a club dedicated to the preservation of these wonderful old cars. I am currently an Architectural Rep for a local paint company.

Other: Two children, two grandchildren. Active boater... keep boat in Hastings at Kings Cove. Stay in frequent touch with six other '67 classmates, five of which live in Mpls/St.Paul area. Many of us meet most Saturday mornings for breakfast at various restaurants in area. Although our group lost two close friends over the past (we refer to our original group as "The Magnificent Seven" as there were seven of us from RHS in the beginning), we still remain close as a result of our RHS activities; esp. "Stage Crew". Many of us worked either on stage or behind the scenes to produce some memorable events. Oh, how I remember the catwalk that was accessable only through one of the restrooms outside the auditorium...

Other: Following graduation from RHS, I attended the U of M for about a year-and-a-half (hated it), and then switched to Brown Institute (now Brown College, and loved it!), graduating with diplomas in Radio Broadcasting, Industrial Electronics and Computer Programming.
I started my career in local radio, both on-air & technical, at WDGY (remember wee-gee?...it's now Hispanic), WAYL (beautiful music then, and now 93X), KTCR (it was a country station and now it's Cities 97), KOEL (in the northeast quadrant of Iowa near Waterloo) and KSTP-AM.
In 1975, I came back to Brown Institute, employed as an instructor in the Broadcasting Division. Eventually, I became Chief Engineer for the department and, in 2004, moved into the IT Department as a Technical Specialist and Multimedia Coordinator for the college.
Presently, I'm back as the Chief Engineer for the School Of Broadcasting.
I met my wife, Julie, in 1981 and we celebrated 25 years together last year. It turns out her father was a radio guy as well, and we worked at the same radio station about 20 years apart....go figure! We don't have children, but do have a cat....kinda the same thing without college to worry about.
I've been very fortunate the past 32 years in that my job and my hobby happen to be one and the same. I've been an audiophile for many years, and now video has become a part of that mix, along with computers. Technologically, tis a great time to be alive! I also enjoy hiking, getting "up North", camping, and a good book (technical and otherwise).
I have a very close knit group of friends that all graduated from RHS in 1967 and I still seem them weekly; in fact, some of us go back as far as elementary school! We get together over breakfast almost every Saturday morning. You may remember a few of the names; Steve Blomberg, Steve Tanamachi, Vern Bloomquist, Terry Carter and Larry Stehr. Jeff Forslin and Dave Olson were also a part of "the gang". We lost Dave a number of years ago; Jeff and his wife now reside in Arizona, so we don't have the chance to see them as often. Nonetheless, I consider myself extremely lucky, and proud, to have had our friendships continue through all these years.
I will always remember my days at RHS fondly and will never forget the support I received from all faculty, particularly Warren Wheaten, electronics instructor extrodinaire; the absolutely fabulous Miles Lundahl, Concert and Marching Band; and James Marcel, an exceptional director and human being. These people touched my life in ways they cannot possibly imagine and I am forever greatful.

Other: I've been living in Connecticut for the past 23 years, with second husband Pete and 2 children, Ted 22 and Maggie 21. I have 4 stepchildren ranging from 29-40 and 2 grandchildren ages 7 and 4. Right now, only Maggie is living at home, for a brief stop between moves to NYC, where she is pursuing an acting/musical theater career.
My mom and one brother still live in Mpls, so it's still a destination for me, especially this past year when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. She's a survivor at 85, and I'll be visiting with her when I come back for the reunion.
I'm changing jobs in September; will be working as VP of Development, Marketing and Communications for a local behavioral health organization.
I'm looking forward to a casual reunion and relaxing on the river....

Other: I went on to college and graduated with my degree in theology, then a masters in religious education and a PhD in administration and psychology. I am currently Vice President for Spiritual Life and chaplain at Union College, have a wonderful wife of 34 years, three grown sons, all married to three wonderful daughters, and providing us with perpetual enjoyment in 6 grandchildren. I travel extensively with my work sending students to do volunteer humanitarian work around the world. I've visited 85 countries (or islands!) I still jog and officiate ice hockey and have been way beyond blessed in my life. Gary Nielsen (who also lives in Lincoln) and I are still just as good of friends as we were back in RHS.

Other: I graduated from CU (Boulder) in 1971 with a BS in Aerospace Engineering, got married, got drafted, but my bad knees kept me out of Vietnam. After 2 years of marriage I divorced and went West to try for the pro golf tour. Ran out of money and ability and decided to get a real job in 1974. After that I bounced around Mountain View, CA for a few years, then arrived in San Diego in 1977. Played a little semi-pro basketball in mid '70s. My intense drive and impatience with working for others pushed me out to my own company in 1980s. Got married again in 1979, have 3 kids who are now (Sept. 2007) 25, 21, 21 (twin boys), and divorced wife #2 in 1998. Anyway, the career went from aerospace to systems programming, to communications software guru. I translated that success to military specific communications applications and client-server consulting. I have been retired since I turned 45. I sing in a vocal rock band in Colorado, for fun. My brother is still in Minnetonka, but I rarely get back. Have lost track of the few friends I had there. Lots of regrets about how I handled my RHS days and my absurd shyness (sorry sweet ladies - Jan!; Valerie; Kathy; Sally; et al!), but I am doing fine now. Being the head of your own company helps to reduce shyness. LOL

I love fly fishing in my beloved CO! I live in a dream home at 9000 ft. elevation looking at the mountain peaks in a mountain forest. Call if you are ever nearby and we can get together and laugh about life!

40th update: Everyone asked what I have been doing since retiring at age 45. For 9 years I was Mr. Mom raising my twin sons, and dating (hard to imagine that shy guy from RHS, huh?). After moving to Colorado in 2004, I took care of my father daily until he passed away in Dec. 2005. I have truly only been a bum for 1.5 years. LOL

I loved seeing and sharing closeness with Jan, Bonnie & Skip, Valerie, Whitey, and hanging with Sue & Kay for most of the 2 days! I am so glad 95% of our class is now over the hangups we had with looks and image! It is nice to know so many people had the same experience I had at RHS and we can now relax and be fun people. It is just too bad it is hard to continue some closeness I felt with these people at the reunion. It would be nice to cultivate some close friendships from the renewal of happy feelings generated the whole weekend! Well, keep in touch - you know who you are - I am in the phone book.

Congratulations to the whole 40th reunion committee! This was the best!

Other: We are enjoying the good life in the woods on Kentucky Lake after a long hot visit to Texas (23years). The US Forest Service found me wandering in the KY woods having fun and now sends me to other woods around the country as a recreation management innovations specialist to help create more fun in their other woods. Daughter Leah (24)is heading back to school - a PhD in clinical psychology she reports, while son Eric (19) starts college next year to be a film & TV mogul. Even though I did not graduate from RHS, I knew several great people who were wonderful friends and unfortunately, over the years, I have lost touch with them but would love to go to the Class of '67 reunion and meet up with them. Other: I am a Medical Adminstrative Assistant for the VP of Patient Care Services at St. Francis Regional Medical Center and am self-employed on the weekends doing medical transcription for an Orthopaedic Surgeon.

I lost my husband 4 1/2 years ago, so I am now single after 25 years of marriage. From that marriage I have 6 beautiful children--5 daughters: Nancy (lives in Richfield); Kim (lives in Montevideo); Andrea (lives in Oklahoma); Katie (lives in Eagan); Michael still at home and to graduate in Year 2000, and Laurin in 6th grade. I also have 4 very special grandchildren.

I still am musical--after Finian's Rainbow--I do some vocal solos occasionally for weddings, etc.

I lived in Richfield most of my married life but built a new house in Jordan 2 years ago.

Closed my own business in 1993, several other jobs (automotive speed equipment and Auto parts related) until 1998, Travelled Internationally for Sea Foam Products until 2005, Sales management at Sea Foam corp offices in Eden Prairie since.
Two children from 1st marriage to Patty Montouri (Therens) of Bloomington (1974 to 1992) Dick III (1981) and Julie Anne (1985). Both whom have started successful careers. Remarried 1993 (ended early 2007)to Linda Tingelstad (Linda Davis)a "Unique" woman who is an artist.
For relaxation/hobby, I and my brother Jim Davis (class of 1970)and family, Drag Race in an NHRA class called SUPER GAS (quarter mile in 9.9 seconds at 150 miles an hour) with a 2002 Camaro and 1967 Nova. A little sponsorship money from Sea Foam Products helps a lot!

Other: I have worked with 401k Plans at American Express for 15 years. I have 2 sons - Mick lives in Savage with 2 daughters Courtney(14) & Carley (5), and Christopher lives in Star Prairie WI with 2 sons - Travis (12) and Jason (5). It is fascinating. Grandkids are definitely one of the best things that life gives us! I have 1 dog and 3 cats, and they are now my 'kids'. I am single again and discovering that it isn't so bad. Single wasn't something you did or thought about in 1967, but it works now. I am very happy with my work, my family and my friends. I have traveled to Europe twice, and plan to travel many more times to Great Britain. My sister (mostly my sister) and I are doing extensive genealogy research. Does anyone feel like it has been 37 years since we graduated?

Other: I retired this July! I was a middle school teacher, middle school assistant principal, and a middle school principal in St. Cloud. Basically, I was in junior high for 35 years, and I actually loved it! (Well most of it) I will begin my new career teaching at St. Ben's and St. John's University this fall, and I am very excited to be working with students aspiring to become teachers.

The same guy has lived with me for 36 years (he is a very patient man), and we have 2 kids. Our son, John (29), is doing his residency in eye surgery in Missouri, and Sara (26) is a CPA in Texas. They live too far away. No grandchildren, and I whine a lot about that,too.

I hope to attend our reunion, and may even go visit my old house on 7200 Knox Avenue So.

Other: I have been in West Virginia since 1978, working first as director of Film Services for the WV Library Commission and since 1999 as the first research librarian. I am in Who's Who in the Southeast. I graduated from the University of Minnesota magna cum laude in philosophy of science in 1971. After living in Holland, Phoenix, and California, I returned to do three things at once - undergrad in nursing, grad in philosophy, and to chair the University Film Society. I ended up graduating with a Masters in Library Science in 1978 and was hired on the phone. I purchased almost $2 million worth of films, helped make many great films including MATEWAN, IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO BEER?, PEARL BUCK- EAST WIND, WEST WIND, WEST VIRGINIANS AT WAR, WEST VIRGINIA - A FILM HISTORY, etc. I co-founded the WV International Film Festival and recently founded the WV Filmmakers Film Festival. I have spoken nationally at many conferences including the FIRST NY CONFERENCE ON FILM EXHIBITION and MEDIA ACCESS at NYU. In 1987 my program was made the national model by the US Dept. of Education and NPR did a ten minute story on our program on the day after Thanksgiving 1987. I have been a film reviewer since I came to WV and currently am the film reviewer for Graffiti magazine. I co-founded the WV Film Office. I am presently the p.r. man for WV's newest feature film, CORRECT CHANGE (2002), and I am the first research librarian for the Library Commission, winning several national awards in the last three years. ( While at the U. of Minnesota, I worked two years in long-range planning.) I am married to Frani, a WV native, and my former assistant in Film Services. She deserves much of the credit for helping me build the program at the WV Statehouse. We have one daughter and two grandsons. West Virginia is the poorest state in the country - Minnesota is one of the richest. I have helped West Virginia as well as a can since 1978, like Pearl Buck tried to help the Chinese. I am the lowest paid person in the country for what I do, but the wealthiest in satisfacation. If you want to see some of the things I have done or write, just plug my last name into Google - you will find me and my younger brother Daniel who is a professor at the University of Illinois - also a Richfield grad. Last but not least - the First Lady of WV, Sandy Wise, is a grad of Richfield too! When I came to WV, the current gov and I were dating sisters. How ironic that Gov. Wise, a native, marry a grad of my high school! They met in DC while he was a congressman.

Music is still everything to me. I teach piano and flute at my Richfield studio, and do a fair amount of composition. I've actually become rather fond of music theory, a state I'd not have bet on back in 1967! Geology is my biggest avocation. I spend a lot of time up North, going back billions of years of geologic time, collecting rocks, rocks and more rocks! No big current plans, just a "maybe I'll go back to school soon". Never too late to keep on learning! This is kind of a nice blast from the past, to hear everyone's post-HS stories. Diane

Other: Hi, so happy to have found this site, enjoyed reading about classmates. Thank you for having it!! I went on to college after graduation. Then flew as fight attendant for North Central Airlines....... the blue goose!! Married a Bloomington grad in 1969 and divorced in 1993. Have not remarried.......only like to make a mistake once and then try not to repeat it. Took my maiden name back after divorce (along with my sanity and life). Have one daughter, Heather, who is 35! When did she get to be 35? I don't feel much older then that myself!! Bought a townhouse in Shakopee and love living a peaceful quiet life; doing my own thing and coming an going as I like. Worked for 19 years with the school system and now am seeking other employment; perhaps part-time. I enjoy traveling and was in the Middle East visiting friends in Aqaba Jordan August 2007. That is why I was not able to attend last reunion. Want very much to be at the next; although I really don't know if any of my friends have attended in the past or will in the future. Lost touch with many and hoping they will find me here. If anyone sees me here and remembers me, I would love to hear from you. Always looking for new friends, as well as the chance to find "old" ones. Hope you all are doing well and life is treating you well. I am well and life is good. Went to work with County Seat Stores aa a programmer analyst and project manager working for 20 years until the company was bought out and moved to New York. In 1998 I ventured into consulting with Keane Corp until landing my current position with Target. We have a cabin in Alexandria, MN. and enjoying having our three kids and their families close by.

I will start of with my education after graduating from high school.

I received my first degree from Ridgewater College (BKA Willmar State Junior College). Received my Associates in 15 months in Journalism. Spent four years at the University of Minnesota and got my Bachelors in Landscape Architecture (never got to use it). Followed two years later in getting my first vocational degree (Eau Claire, Wisconsin) in Financial Services. Ten years after that, from Minneapolis Technical got my final one in Microcomputer Accounting.
In 1978, I was ordained into the Priesthood and in 1998 became an Elder.

At the age of 16 started my own business which I use from time to time. It's called "Round(ie)y" Team Stats. As you know I am a sports lover in all sports.

After graduating from Ridgewater College I got lucky and enlisted ONLY two years in the US Navy. I was on two ships (USS Juneau LPD-10 and Midway CVA-41) as a Storekeeper.

Places of employment, not including my own business was six years as a Residential Apartment Manager (where the Luxford now stands). fourteen plus years as a bookkeeper for a private building supply office. Filled in for a couple businesses in Wyoming (local radio station and Bureau of Land Management). Decided to retire on 05 November 2006 (except for my sport statistic business).

Awards received: Two letters or Certificates of Commendation from the Late governor Rudy Perpich and Arne Carlson.

Honors: Cambridge Who's Who (2007), Amateur Photographer of the Year and International Library of Photographers (2006), International Poets Society (2002), Heros In The Making (Minnesota Timberwolves 2002), Statistician of the Year (1995) and Seaman of the Year (Pacific Fleet 1969).

Major Sports Happenings: Deaflympics (2007), International Special Olympics (1991), Major League World Series (1987 and 1991), NBA All star Weekend (1994), NCAA Final Four (Mens 1992 and 2001 Womens 1995), NHL Allstar Game (2003), Super Bowl XXVI (1992), US Olympic Festival (1990) and University of Wyoming (2004).

Healthwise I have had a few issues. The two most recent Gall Bladder surgery (2002) broken left ankle and right hip replacement (2003) and two hearing aids (2004).

Hobbies and Interests: Miniature trains ("Z" gauge), all sports, statistics, camping, oil painting (by number), bowling, drawing simplified house plans, hooking rugs, sign language, playing video and computers games, genealogy, computers, giving massages and working with mentally retarded and deaf children.

After taking a year off to catch up on sleep, home repairs, etc. I am now taking landscape classes, and will be working as a gardener this summer. What I enjoy most is having time for family and friends in addition to volunteer activities, tennis and reading. I thought Richfield HS was a great place to go to school and hope it still is today. We have lived here since 1978. Shirley works for the 196 school district as a teachers aid she loves her job working with kids. Began in the Executive Search business (headhunter) in Minnepolis until I retired again in 1998 and moved to Mesa, Arizona where I'm now semi-retired still in the headhunting business. Divorced in 1996, I have three grown children. Dave is 39 has 2 dau and a son. Natalie is 36 has a son and Mike is 27. Both Dave and Mike work for Guidant. In my career I have been fortunate enough to work in Commerical Art - Photography and Printing; Designed Project Management Software; Project Manager on software installations; Facilitator and Change Agent.

Other: I have one child, Al, born in Columbus, Georgia in 1969 (over Woodstock weekend). He has a BA in computer science (St. Marys College, Winona, MN), spent ten years in the Navy as a �nuke� and now works for a law office in Minneapolis. His beautiful wife, Rosie, is a psychologist in St. Paul. They have an amazing son, Al, born in 2004, who is the light of all of our lives. I am a lawyer, started my career as a judicial law clerk for the appellate and district courts. After completing my clerkships, I worked in various legal arenas: private practice (family law), as an assistant Washington County Attorney, an administrative law judge, and as a magistrate judge (a non-elected judicial position). Tried to retire a few years ago and was bored to tears, so I returned to work for Thomson-West Corp., and now work there editing law books, producing content, and occasionally teaching. I am taking jazz vocal lessons at MacPhail School and enjoy singing, have sung semi-professionally in the past. My husband is also an attorney; he is chief of the criminal division of the Washington County Attorney�s Office--which is where we met. I'm very proud of him. He has prosecuted a number of high-profile cases in his 35 years with the County. Several years ago, he realized a long-time dream and began studying jazz piano at MacPhail School. He accompanies me and we have a wonderful time making music together. In a few years, I hope to return to school and study interior design. I�m one of those folks who love to think outside the box. We have two very pampered cats, Abbey and Harold. Hubby and I like to travel--spend a couple of weeks each summer in New York City, and have been to Europe a number of times on vacations, twice with my choir. We also love to ride bikes together, design projects both inside and outside our home, and we both love to cook. We enjoy life very much.

Spent one year at Bemidji State and then moved to Virginia Beach, VA where I lived several years of living the hippie chick life. Once a hippie chick always a hippie chick. Married my ex who still lives there and not a day goes by that i ask myself.. WHY am I here freezing my butt off in the winter?? I have two children and five grandchildren.. not possible i keep telling myself..haha. My son lives in Ely, MN and has started his own business and is enjoying all that Ely offers. My daughter lives in the cities and is the "happy homemaker". Her hubby is a corrections officer at Oak Park Heights...I have yet to attain my goals, but have them in sight... Other: Personally, I am still married to my college sweetheart, Paul. We have two daughters who have grown up to be independent and resourceful young women. Paul and I had no trouble adjusting to the empty nest, partly because the chicks still come back to the nest from time to time, and partly because we have always had quite a fun and active life.
Professionally, I'm in my 31st year with South Washington County Schools. (This large district includes Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Newport, and St.Paul Park.) I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, but my favorite is 5th. This year I became the Coordinator of the Mentor Process. With 144 new teachers, it has been an interesting challenge. I have also been coordinating the elementary social studies program for several years. In a district of 12 elementary schools (and expanding), this too has been a fascinating challenge. Next year? With budget cuts, WHO KNOWS?
I look forward to seeing our high school classmates in August!

Living here in sunny Tucson. We moved here in 1985 from Monticello, MN after I received my RN degree. I work full time and spend my days off travelling, volunteering or enjoying my 8 grandchildren. All my children (Michelle age 36, Bryan age 34 and Christopher age 33 and grandchildren (2 boys, 6 girls) live here in Tucson. It's awsome to be able to vacation with them and attend events for their sports and schools and churches. Grandchildren rock!
My husband, Rod (Minnetonka, Class of '65) works for the State of AZ and is it possible that we are looking forward to retirement in a few years? Yikes! Now that will be a new adventure, eh? We hope to do volunteering with Christian mission organizations and maybe even do some overseas travelling.

Other: I have been married for 31 years to Dave, who I met at Bemidji State, where I graduated in 71 with an art ed. degree. We have two daughters, both married, and two grandchildren. Kristin lives in Austin, Mn., Erika lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has two children. We lived in Plymouth for 19 years after spending several years in Illinois and Iowa. Five years ago we bought a house on a lake five miles south of Annandale. We love it! We commute in opposite directions-- Dave owns a Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler dealership in Litchfield, and I teach elementary art in Orono. It�s a scenic commute--I ggo past rolling hills, lakes, horses, cows, and buffalo on my way to work!

I am an artist and an art teacher. After alot of years teaching in art centers, doing residencies, and trying to sell my paintings (watercolor & mixed media), I went back to public school teaching, and have been teaching elementary art in Orono for 10 years. I still paint (though the production has gone down greatly in the last 10 years) and participate in an annual studio sale in Minnetonka with 3 other artists, as well as enter various juried shows and competitions.

Other: After providing music with my band at most of the dances at RHS I continued to support myself through college and beyond with music. I married my college sweetheart, Connie (Edina class of '68), in December of 1970 and we're still crazy about each other. Our firstborn, Heidi (born 1973) is a missionary in Bucharest, Romania. She is an accomplished violinist and we're very proud of her. Our son, Dave Jr. (born 1974) is into Christian hip-hop music full time (both producing and performing) and is living with his wife, Jonna, in Milwaukee. They are involved in various ministries. No grandkids yet. Connie is a Lutheran pastor and a writer and I'm still doing rock and roll but now it's for the Lord. I made my mark in real estate and retired in 2000. For the past 15+ years I've worked with area churches developing contemporary worship teams to lead worship. Other: After service as an officer in the US Army from 1968 to 1975. I married my lovely Japanese-American wife in 1977. She's been a gracious and gifted partner --- I really married "up". Our son Jon, is a computer game developer, working most recently developing games for motion picture launches like those released from Pixar-Disney. I now (2007+) serve as Vice President, Marketing for Medtronic (medical devices---orthopaedic and spinal surgery) with its World Headquarters in Minneapolis---friendly Fridley---35,000 employees with a product used every 5 seconds worldwide. It is a real pleasure to serve with this talented team. Many trips to Minneapolis, to meet with the executive teams and new business ventures teams. How it's changed. The pace is frenetic and contagious. When you love your job, you never have to go to work. Before this division was purchased by Medtronic in 1998, know that it was started by another RHS graduate in 1980---Alan Olsen (RHS 1965), elder brother of Bonnie, Celeste, Dennis and Elaine Olsen all formerly of 6408 Thomas Av. S.. Small world as we all grew up about 150 meters apart, with 1967 grads Doug Coombs, Jason Gramstad, Janalee Swanson, Peggy Whelan, John DeMotts, Kathy Hooker, Joann Larson, Doug Schanzenbach, etc., in the same Sheridan School neighborhood too. Good crowd. Great memories. The Medtronic Spinal & Biologics division, is located in Memphis, Tennessee. This move to Memphis in 2004 was move number 16 for us--- from SF Bay Area; having lived all over the USA, twice in Boston / Cape Cod; three times in California (Bay Area and Monterey / Carmel / Pebble Beach), Dallas, Georgia, Louisana, Arizona, etc. Last role was with Boston Scientific, responsible for Marketing outside the USA, 59 countries and 14 language groups---70% OUS travel. Prior to that was responsible for Spinal Marketing for Johnson & Johnson, several business start-ups, etc. We have been fortunate to have friends and former colleagues all over the world. What a privilege! Some of my family remain in the Twin Cities, fewer all the time. Memories are filled with RHS days. With all the travel, I am amazed at all the times I bump into RHS classmates and grads---literally around the world. What fun! Travel for a living, have seen much of the US and some of the world. Have had lunch looking down at the clouds in the Swiss Alps, have ridden elephants in Thailand, have floated down murky rivers through Burma almost to North Vietnam, have danced on the Spanish steps in Rome, bargained for gold in a gold factory in Florence, was over come with awe while at the original Opera House of Paris, walked through DeVince's house and saw his inventions all put together and working! Spent many nights in many different cities, but none with the feel of a Minnesota night.

Other: My wife, Rosalind, and I have been married for 33 years and we have two children. Our son, Paul Jr., is Executive Vice President of our company, and our daughter Christina is finishing her biology major at Bethel University.

After college , I was an aide to several elected officials including former United States Senator Hubert H. Humphrey and Minnesota Governor and U.S. Senator Wendell R. Anderson. I also had the privilege to work as an advancman for former President Jimmy Carter and Vice President Walter Mondale.

We have been blessed to have been in business for the past twenty years , headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota. It is a special events and transportaton company. Our clients have been very interesting and varied, from the NFL to the King and Queen of Sweden.

We create and produce special events and have worked on Ford's 100th. Anniversary, Oldsmobile's 100th. Anniversary, the Pope's visit to Denver and NASCAR races just to name a few of the events.

But, most importantly, my whole family has a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has forgiven us of our sins and we have put our faith in Him and His gift of salvation.

Other: I worked for the headquarters of International Dairy Queen, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN, for 32 years. I am now semi-retired, and am an independent consultant for Creative Memories - another wonderful Minnesota company. My husband Doug and I moved to Ft. Myers, FL in 2005, and we are thoroughly enjoying warm sunshine all year long. We visit the Minneapolis area at least four times a year to check in with our kids and the rest of the family. Leisure time (more and more of it these days, thank goodness) is spent on: photography, scrapbooking, travel, reading, and an occasional round of golf.

I enjoy those relaxing, stress free, Monday mornings........I have four sons, Ryan, Benjamin, Adam and Jacob and was blessed with my first grandchild, Maren. She is the delight of my life and I chersih our times together. What a treat it is for all of us to have a "little girl" in our home. My husband of almost 36 years is Charlie who I met in college. He is employed by Thrivent Financial and will probably never retire. I enjoy yoga, knitting, my two Golden Retrievers and living on the lake. Other: With the 40th reunion fast approaching I thought it was about time I put something in here.

My wife Audrey (Miller) and I have been together since 1975. We have one son Robert Miller (RHS class of 1988), and three grandchildren.
I moved to Los Angeles in 1969 in order to attend Northrop Institute of Technology. When I graduated from NIT Bill Lear (Lear Jet) was the commencement speaker, also in attendance was John K. Northrop the founder of Northrop Aircraft. I remained in L. A. working for Northrop Aircraft until 1975.

Moving back to Richfield in 1975 I worked in various quality engineering and quality management positions for Sperry-Univac in St. Paul, and Control Data in Bloomington. In my spare time I resumed my love affair with flying. Over the course of several years I ended up with an aircraft mechanics license, a commercial pilots license, a multi-engine rating, a seaplane rating, and an instrument rating. At one time I was part owner of a Piper Archer II.

In 1988 I was offered a Product Assurance position with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company and relocated to Littleton (Denver) Colorado. While in Colorado my focus was on spacecraft systems and spacecraft. I had the opportunity to work for Lockheed, Martin Marietta, and finally Lockheed Martin.

I left Lockheed Martin as a Staff Quality Engineer in 1999 and moved to of all places, Roseau Minnesota (a long way from everything and close to nothing!).

Since 1999 I have been a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for Polaris Industries (www.polarisindustries.com) supporting snowmobile manufacturing. Talk about an extreme paradigm change; Denver to Roseau, spacecraft to toys (snowmobiles)! Even with the many limitations small town living has been a pleasant change from the big city life.

My wife and I look forward to achieving full retirement early next year. We plan to travel and spend time with our grandchildren.

Finally, those of you that knew me at RHS probably remember the 1955 red Porsche S peedster I used to drive. Well I finally have another Porsche, a 2001 Boxster. The wait was worth it!

I look forward to seeing you at the reunion!

Big reunion coming up huh? Well...I dunno...been there; done that. But I wouldn't mind hearing from some of you. On the other hand, some of you can bite me.

I went right off to the U of M, majoring in draft evasion. Then I got a lottery number that I thought was safe enough to drop out for a quarter or two. Wrong...spent the next two years in Virginia and Giessen, Germany. It's all kind of vague...I'll plead the Fifth.

Got married in '74 and went back to collich. Finished the latter in '77 (BS Aquatic Ecology) and the former in '78 (she was having an affair with the U of M Hockey team). Off to da UP in '79 ("Say 'yah', eh?") where I was a lamprey choker for the USF&WS. Hopelessly in love, bailed out for Mpls. and married Jane, a veritable princess. Dinked around for a couple years before landing a fisheries spec. job with MN DNR. Moved lots of fish and wrote lots of reports for 11 years. Declined a transfer to Hutchinson when the St. Paul Hatchery went belly-up in '95. Back to collich to learn programming. Been writing Fishware, by the TV, ever since.

Had two boys. Nolan passed away in '92 just shy of nine. Philip's 19 now, bailed out of Washburn after 9th grade for Edina HS and graduated in 2006. He went to St. Cloud for a year but thinks he might prefer the Air Force over going back.

I am fortunate to have them live in the same town as we do, although we all live in the country outside of Berthoud.
