Been keeping the U.S. monetary system in check by working at the Federal Reserve since graduation, in check processing.

Other: Hello Everyone! I have not moved far from Richfield, went to Burnsville and now to Chaska. Have been married for 19 years to a guy who graduated from Richfield a few years earlier than me. I became stepmom to two boys now 30 and 25 but no grandchildren yet, but then I am not ready for them either. I have been working at SUPERVALU in Eden Prairie/Chanhassen for the past 15 years and had 12 years with Control Data before that. My husband and I enjoy traveling overseas and have a fifth-wheel camper with a permanent campsite in Cannon Falls.

Other: I am a union pipefitter, have been in this field since 1983. I have 2 step kids,[29&23].Also have 3 grandkids from the 29 year old. My wife and I moved here in 1999, for a few reasons, mainly more breathing room. My hobbies have not changed much, as I am my wife's oldest kid. I still am into cars, motorcycles, vehicles in general. For those who remember my lil' red vega you will be sickened to know that I'm on my third one. I guess it's still my way of freezing time, 5 vehicles, 2 Harleys, or as my wife said my mid life crises filler. We pretty much are very simple people just breathing in every day appreciating life. As I'm sure everyone out there does our age, because we've seen plenty of the opposite. Hideho neighbors! P.S. Have been in Law Enforcement for 25+ years. The last 24 with Brooklyn Park PD. It's a nice bedroom community, there are just bullet holes in the bedrooms! I teach DARE to the 6th graders in the Osseo School district for 1/3 of the year, and then I'm on patrol for the rest of the year. Trying to find Paul Meissner's second wife and tag her too! Active in the United States Police Canine Association. I Handled 2 German shepherd Dogs, the first from 1981 to 1985, and the second from 1987 to 1991. Now active as a competition judge. Active member of Fraternal Order of Police, (not a union, we raise money to give it away. They call it non-profit) We donate to the Minnesota Special Olympics and other worthy organizations.
Married, Ginnie (Southwest/79) and one son, Scott. Two dogs, a small rottweiller(95#) and a tiny shepherd/lab mix(75#). Lap dogs really, at least they think they are.
Had a great time at the 30th reunion, just ran out of time and didn't see/talk to everyone I wanted to. Great to see everyone and missed the ones who decided not to come.
Hope to see another good turnout at the next reunion.

Other: I've been at Continental Machines in Savage for almost 7 years now, and hopefully it'll be where I nest for the duration. I'm also working two part time jobs - 20 hours a week at a company called Van Wagenen Financial Services in Eden Prairie and once a month or so at Superamerica in Chaska. So much for life getting easier as you get older... :-\

Never got married, and have no kids except for my cats and dogs. Lost my dad in 1983, so I lived with my mom in Richfield until she died in 1996. Now I find myself "residentially challenged" in a mobile home (or I guess now the politically correct term is "manufactured home") in Chaska. All is well, though. I've got my little "family" here, I have a few close friends that I see fairly often, I've got my 100+ page Website, I golf in a league in the summer, I bowl in a league in the winter, I fish and hunt, I still play the guitar and sing occasionally and I have my latest passion, Genealogy (be nice to me - I'm a descendant of William the Conquerer.) ;-) There's more about me HERE.

I am a Legal Administrative Assistant at the law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi where I've worked since--can't be--September, 1978.

I married the 'studly' Gary Stormoen ('70 Richfield grad) in October 1976, and we have three terrific kids: Eric (26), Adam (25) and Sarah (24). Sarah has blessed us with two grandchildern: Hunter (2) and Dylan (7 mos.).

Upon empty-nesting, Gary and I sold our family home in Plymouth and moved downtown Minneapolis. We are now official urbanites and lovin' it.

I have two co-workers who are Richfield Alum: Deb (Nelson) Olsen (1975) and Martha (Hegge) Balfanz (1970). Thanks, Deb, for spreading the word of this awesome site!

Hello Richfield Alumni! I haven't seen many of you in the past years, but I do talk to some of the high school buddies on a regular basis. Email is great, isn't it? I've worked in the graphic arts field for most of my career, most of it in various places in Minnesota. Even had a stint of running my own commercial art studio in Richfield (by the old Big Wheel Rossi and Trestmann's Music Store). I'm married, live in east St. Paul and currently work for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources near the state capitol. Perhaps we'll cross paths in upcoming reunions? Who knows?

Other: I am a 4 year breast cancer survivor! News like that turns your life upside down. After a year of massive chemo & radiation (and a lot of prayer & support from my family and close friends) I have survived. Needless to say, life is good!

Other: Hello from the Boston area! I've been living here and working in Providence and Boston since 1990, but still don't sound like a Kennedy -- dialectally OR politically, for that matter! I've worked in the Mutual fund industry since high school, mostly as a Business Systems Analyst (don't worry, almost no one actually knows what a BSA is or does--which can have its advantages) and currently as a systems manager. My son, Christopher, graduates St. Mary's college in Winona, MN this summer(!)with honors and double majors in Physics and Math (he definately did not get that from my side!) and hopes to do his graduate work out here at Dartmouth in NH. When I'm not trying (futilely) to keep my Samoyed dog out of mischief, I'm outside trying to turn wilderness into a garden, catching up on the social/politicial commentary, or scouting for deals on Gucci at Filene's basement. Life is good out here on the "right coast"!

Other: Keith and Kim (former Kimberlee Carlson) have lived in Phoenix, AZ last eight years and love it! The heat for aging muscles and joints is highly preferred over alternatives... We enjoy hiking in desert as well as horseback riding. Ice hockey is preferred exercise activity especially in the heat of the summer months. We recently celebrated the five year anniversary of our Dermatology practice, Arrowhead Dermatology. Kim is our amazingly multi-talented practice administrator extraordinaire. We are truly blessed in our practice and the many wonderful, dedicated employees we have. We are breaking ground in late March 2004 on a new 8000 ft2 facility. We have three mostly wonderful boys(they are kids, what do you expect?...)with the two oldest at Pepperdine in Malibu and ASU in Tempe, respectively. Our youngest is 11 years young, a fifth grader at a local christian school, who is refreshingly innocent as well as paradoxically savvy well beyond his years and the best of the bunch. I mourn the passing of his youth; not to mention our own... Can't believe we are all +/- four dozen years old... No way! Absolutely unbelievable... Other: I graduated from Winona State University in 1979, married my high school sweetheart, Brian Houser in 1985, and moved back to Richfield in 1986. We have four kids, ages 6 - 16, our oldest a sophomore at RHS. It is fun to be back there as a parent, and I think it's a great school! I am a social worker, currently working in Minneapolis, and I have a little antique business. We really like staying rooted in Richfield and its diversity. Our big RHS is pretty little now, and it feels like a really small town around here. There are lots of familiar faces from high school in Richfield, and I'm always discovering more of my high school acquaintances at my childrens' activities. Other: After living in Denver, Co, Sioux Falls, SD, St. Paul, MN, Coon Rapids, MN, & Indianapolis, IN since graduating in '74, I have lived the last 13 years in two different homes in Richfield. I have been married for 22 years, have 4 children (3 boys, 1 girl)(ages 18,16,13,& 10). I have an AAS in Traffic/transportation Management and spent the first 15 years in the trucking industry in management until 6 layoffs from six companies that went belly up did me in and I decided to change careers. I attended Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie and received an AAS in electronics. I have been employed as an electronic technician for the past 11 years and loving it! I am currently a electronic technician for an R&D lab in Minnetonka. My oldest son graduates from Richfield this year (I hope). 3 teenagers and another one in the wings is a handful. Am currently trying to find outside interests for me to help me with my idle time. I still volunteer to work with the homeless when I can. I still like to do primitive camping over commercialized camping, but I think my body is starting to say otherwise. I still have all of my hair, but it is just starting to turn grey at the edges. If anybody out there still remembers who I am after all of these years, please drop me a line.

Other: Well it's hard to believe that 30 years have past so quickly. I've been in Asia for the last 11 years working in marketing for SWIFT. (not the meatpacker, it's a private network used by the world's banks for settling trades) We've been stationed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and back to Hong Kong.

Married for 24 years to Angela. She is a Hong Kong native but I met her at the U of M. We have two sons, Tyler 19 who is a freshman in college at Carleton and Kevin 14, who is an eighth grader at Hong Kong International School.
The kids are fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, dad is bad at all languages except Minnesotan. People say there is a noticable difference between my English and "normal" English. (normal = british)

The entire family plays tennis alot. Hong Kong weather allows us to play outside year round. So probably on average we are playing 3 - 4 times a week. Other activities revolve around church. I've had the interesting experience of trying to explain what a Turtle Club does to a group of Hong Kong teenagers. They don't get it. (ie. it really had no meaningful purpose)

We are planning on making the 30 year reunion. Looking forward to seeing alot of old friends.

AFter a couple years in the army over in Germany, I returned to Minnesota, getting my BA from UMD, then did a couple years of journalism at Mankato State, then moved to California. I received my MA from Cal State Chico and was unable to do much with it, then went to a two year x-ray technologist program and am now happily employed in a mid-sized hospital in chico, working mosting in the E.R. and the O.R. I got married a couple of years ago and inherited two teenaged girls along with my wife. Still like the wife. I have been writing fiction for many years and am currently working on my eigth novel--none published so far but I don't give up. I recently attended a writers conference in Fort Bragg, CA and have been inspired to get back to the computer. Other hobbies include golf, which I do badly, and swimming in the doughboy pool in the backyard. Love life! After all those years of searching for the rainbow, I finally found it here in California. Other: Occupation? Domestic engineer, I guess. I finished a degree in history, then went into the Army for four years, then went back to school to become a history teacher, then taught a year or two, then got married, then had a baby, then was diagnosed with cancer. That was eight years ago and I have had several rounds of treatment. I'm now feeling well and I don't think anyone would think, to look at me, that I have health problems. But somehow, with my family and a house to care for and frequent medical appointments, I never went back to work outside the home.

My husband's name is Mike and my daughter's name is Sophia; I have a grown stepson named Adam, too.

Some of you might be surprised to learn that I have become a regular churchgoer! I've even taught Sunday school and served on our church council.

I look forward to reading about other alumni on the RHS website - or e-mail me! (Especially if you're dealing with lymphoma or another cancer; I! might be able to help.)

In the summer I like to rollerblade and I find myself at Raceway Park quite often. My new outlook on life has been: Life is 10% of what happens to us and 90% how you react to it. So, life is good. Even better once I run into the future Mrs. Prawdzik. I guess not too many women want to have a last name like mine. I had no choice in this matter, but I don't see any reason to hire any more lawyers to change it. 'Married with Children" is my favorite sitcom and I wish Al Bundy would have been there when I needed a good line.

I'm looking forward to the class reunion to see how many people I can recognize without their name tags/hair.

Other: I graduated in December 2000 from Minnesota School of Business in Richfield, MN, receiving a Diploma in Graphic Design. In February 2001, I accepted a job at Minnesota School of Business in Richfield, MN working in the Education Department. I use my graphic design training in my job, creating our school newsletter and doing various projects. I am still an AquaGuide at Underwater Adventures on weekends, and still write monthly articles for Suite 101 on Aquatic Animals.

I will soon be signing with Voice Plus/Actors Plus as a voice talent. I enjoyed on-air work as a staff announcer at KNWC Radio in Sioux Falls, and I missed that. I have done some voiceover work for Minnesota School of Business in this past year.

Other: I met my husband(Mike) at St. John's University and we have been married for 27 years. We have two sons. Ryan is 22 and attending NDSU in Fargo and Tyler is 19 and a sophomore at St. Clous State where he is playing football. With two boys I became an unofficial expert in all sports and fishing, hunting, frogging and everything else boys (including their dad) enjoy. We lived on a small farm down by Northfield for 8 years and then moved to Chanhassen where Mike and I started Koester Construction. We enjoy traveling to warm sunny locations in the winter and Canada in the summer. The boys always came with us and still do. My sisters and brother(all RHS grads) live in this area. My mom and Dad lived in Richfield until 4 years ago when Best Buy and the City of Richfield forced them out of their home for the developemnt on the corner of 76th and Penn. Life has been good. Quite a solid young man, I'm proud to say. My wife is a successful business owner of 16 years, although, she is ready to sell and retire at age 40. My work is taking me away from one of my favorite things to do, coach High School Roller Hockey. In 4 years we won 3 Championships out of four consecutive trips to the big game.
