Other: Hi everyone, would love to make the reunion. But living in Spain may make it a little difficult. But here is a little update on myself.

Have been in the Navy for the past 20 years and retiring in Feb, 2000. (Can't wait). Married a wonderful Spanish girl on my first tour to Spain 16 years ago. Have two beautiful daughters (Krystle-13, Inez-6), two dogs, several birds, bunch of fish, horse, flock of chickens and don't forget three pigs. Just a regular ranch hand.

Apart from ranching and riding horses, we enjoy dabbling in real estate. We are now owners/brokers of a CENTURY 21 real estate office in Rota, Spain. Love the beach, been body surfing in the best waves in the world while stationed in Hawaii for 3 years. Love our girls, love country music and love the Lord. I would also love to hear from you. Haven't been home in ages. I really miss it! Going through midlife I quess.

Other: Hello to all the 79 grads. I have been married for 11 years now to my wonderful husband, John. We have 2 great kids, Crystal, almost 10, and John Jr.(JJ), 7. I am a stay at home mom who volunteers for usually too much. Regional manager for a mothers group, Girl Scout leader, and whatever they need me for at the kids' school(last year I put together a dinner for over 700 people). We have done our share of moving since getting married. Started in Burnsville, then on to Western NY, then to IL. Loved them all and truly miss IL. All in all, we've had 4 houses, 4 apts, and a couple of months with my sister waiting for our final house to close. This all in our 11 years. Ended up in Lakeville across the street from Antlers park. The view out the front window is great. Hopefully, we're done for now. Wanted to make it to the 25th reunion but missed the cut off and am too cheap to pay the extra, so I am hoping to see a bunch of you at the 50th. I loved reading the bios from everyone and hope to see more soon.

Other: Hi everyone. Where has the time gone? Its so great to see familiar names and read the bios. I have been living in Oregon since 1981. My parents retired to a small town and well, it was just too small for me. I moved to LA got a job with Continental airlines for about 2 years, was terribly home sick, came back to Oregon, trained as a travel agent and have been in the travel business ever since. I have a great husband and 2 grown step-kids. My husband loves golf and I just like golf but we play often, hike and just enjoy the mountains and the great weather. Love to travel and my favorite place so far is Bora Bora, Tahiti. I remember so many long Minnesota winters dreaming about far away and romantic places. Somehow a couple of beers in the ice fishing cabin just wasnt the romance I had in mind. If you have never been to Oregon come see me... We will take you White water rafting (not scary) . They filmed the River Wild here with Kevin Bacon and Myrle Streep but the river is not THAT wild!

Other: Well this foolish gal got married 2 weeks out after graduation to Gary class of 78. Unfortunately we were just to young and made it barely 3 years. But he will alway be one of the great loves of my life. Now it is 25 years later and I have 3 new loves My daughter Crystal 21, Tyler 11, and Christopher 7. Besides the year I lived in Georgia I have stayed here in Minnesota. I did daycare for 10 years, then went back to school for a printing degree. Got a job right after I graduated and was with them for 7 years working in different positons in the company. Six years ago I changed jobs to another printing company. It has been along time since I have seen anyone from the class of 79. I do still keep in touch with Karen Kledhans. Missed going to any of the reunions. So it was great catching up with everyone here.

I may be a little late on the parenthood thing, but I'm loving it!!! There are a few of us 1979 grads with little ones, and we get together to "play" often. I work for a national technical consulting firm, supporting our largest client, IBM, and best of all, I get to work from home. We like to travel abroad and enjoy our time with family. Life is sweet, God is good.

Other: I didn't actually graduate with everyone in 1979. My family moved to Kansas our Senior Year. However, it was great to read about everyone I grew up with and I thought you might want to know what happened to me. I have been teaching kids for the last 15 years. I am currently teaching English to a bunch of troubled teenage boys and loving it. I married a wonderful guy, David, and we have three children; Josh, 20, Caitlin, 18 and Ian, 14. Having three teenagers has turned my hair gray and constantly makes me remember my own high school years at Richfield High. Go Big Red!

Other: I've been living in Las Vegas since 1984. Love it out here. I'm married and have 3 grown step kids and 11 grandkids. I'm the cool grandma because I still like to do all the sports and things. I have 2 dogs and do a lot of volunteer work with them. I worked in the casino business as a dealer for many years and retired from that industry in '93.
I'm still short and enjoy sports. I played goalie in a mens ice hockey league for many years until I realized that the older you get, the slower your body heals.

Two kids, Derek, my son who is 11, and Heather 17 :) with long beutiful blonde hair to die for. And get this! they are taller than me!!:) Rotton marriage (controlling, possesive, :() I finally left him two years ago before he could drive me to an early grave. My beloved mothers passing (connie French) from esophagus cancer 2 years ago in december gave me the courage I needed to break free and actually live life. Other: This is an update from my last message to everyone. I still live in Virginia and working in Culpeper as an Information Technology Director. I am very busy with my kids Jessie 17 and Randy 13 and my 2004 Harley Ultra Glide, the wife and I are alway on it and ride everywhere. I was back in minnesota a few months back and was real happy to see how many motorcycles on the roads.

I also have fun playing my guitar with friends, we keep talking about starting a band called the old farts but I think the stones kinda have us beat there.

Other: To those of you who have seen my parents around town and been so kind � many thanks. Mom tells me about seeing you at church, the store, the mall, the hospital� and I always wonder whether I should try to get in touch. Now that the folks are getting up there in age, I have been making it back more often, and will probably run into some of you, soon. I was hoping that we would have a 25-year reunion, but maybe we should all just plan to participate in the 50-year anniversary in October. It was really interesting reading all the descriptions that everyone posted.

After high school, I finished a one-year vocational school in Audio-visual Technology in six months, and then the Army made me an offer I couldn�t refuse. In the next nine years, I had assignments at the tactical and strategic levels, including three years as a computer systems evaluator and traveling all over the US and Europe, and then learned to speak Russian. In 1989, I predicted the end of the cold war and the subsequent defense cutbacks, and got out to finish my degree in Huntsville, Texas. A minor setback landed me in the prison there � doing my sentence in eight-hour shifts � transferring money from the state correctional budget to the state higher education fund. ;) Here�s an example of things not working out as planned, but the end result being even better: I was gonna� spend two years in college and come out with a baccalaureate degree and a big student loan, and instead, I spent six years and came out with a master�s that was almost completely paid, plus some excellent professional experience. During that time, I met the first true love of my life, and adopted her when she was four months old. She grew into a beautiful 70 pounds of pure muscle, mostly heart, and we had 13 wonderful years traveling the country together. (You can see a picture of her on my web site.) Now I understand why they are �Man�s Best Friend.� Otherwise, I�ve never been married and there are no little T Hs running around. As you might have guessed, the Army reserve has kept me quite busy the last few years, and I am rapidly approaching a crossroads at which I will have the option of taking my reserve retirement, and then having to really address the question of what I�m gonna� do when I grow up.

Other: Just an update from previous info (and now obsolete!) It is nice to see more posts from graduates. When I came across this site I was surprised so few had used it. The 25 year reunion must have helped. Speaking of the reunion, I was so torn that night. I paid for it and was in town, but also had my nephews wedding in plymouth that night, but planned on doing both. As anyone there knows with a huge convention in town it was impossible to get a room and altho I am not much of a drinker, i had a few at the wedding and you know the rest.... My Mom, (who lives in Edina) wanted us Langhoff Graduates to attend the 50th but I lost track of time. In updating my bio, I have to say I am back in the Restaurant Biz after a short detour opening a wireless communications store for a friend. He passed away last year in a car accident and this event plus the gentle pressures of my wife (newly married, second time) We have opened the Best Barbecue Restaurant in Raymond Minnesota just outside of Willmar. If you can still remember Mamalu's you will know I "cut my teeth" working there as a kid and have been a Professional Chef & F&B Director since. I never thought I would own a Restaurant. I will have to e-mail a few of you that I see are now on this site.... Paul Doyle & Jay Anderson be ware! Hope you all Had a good time who attended the 25th or 50th.

Merry Christmas!!!

WOW! It�s hard to believe another year has come and gone. With all the stuff that went on last year with hurricane Katrina and going back and forth to New Orleans, it seems like time stood still. Oh, if only it could.

We did go back to New Orleans in mid February this year to try to finish up my Mom�s house, but we had to take some time out and participate in Mardi Gras. Since Eve didn�t want to go, we had Bud fly in and play with us for the long Mardi Gras weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon & Tue). We now call it �Party Gras�. We all had such a wonderful time, it was the best Mardi Gras ever. Perhaps because not as many people were there, but it was just what New Orleans needed.

We still didn�t get completely done at Mom�s house, so Steph, had to go back over Fourth of July to put up baseboards, closets doors and build a shelf unit in the bathroom. Not to mention, PAINT. Oh my God, I even flew back in late August with my paintbrush packed in my suitcase, just to paint woodwork and doors. Now I get to do all that same stuff here at our house.

After Christmas last year, since we were in �contractor� mode, we finally tiled our floors. A little less than 1000 square feet (foyer, kitchen, dinning room, family room and halls). What a bear, we used 18� tile, laid diagonally, but it looks great. We just about got it done before Byron and Viv arrived. Well, if you want to call it �done�. We had only part of the tile grouted but what the heck, we were here for 9 months with no kitchen sink, no grout between the tile is easy. We finally got it �done� over Thanksgiving. Yes, this one just past. And we got most of the baseboards done too. Still have to put a final coat of paint on them, but it will have to wait til after Christmas. We also got the rest of our kitchen cabinets up, after they sat in the corner of the family room for 8 months. We finally have a complete kitchen. Yeh!! Byron and Viv won�t recognize this place.

We still continue to do a lot of work in our yard. Our bamboo is finally getting tall enough to hide the 3 story condo�s behind us. Yes, our bamboo is reaching heights of 40 feet tall. Our yard is really cool and getting very lush. We have expanded on our outdoor kitchen and patio area making room for 6 of us to hang out. John and Steph, Eve & Alex (when they are here for a party, they bought a condo and live just a few miles down the road, we�re so proud of both of them), and Bud and Valarie. Yes, Bud has a steady girlfriend, Val, for almost a year. She�s just a little cutie pie and we love her too.

Bud graduated from high school this year, and is enrolled in St. Petersburg College and will start there in January. We are so proud of him. He has really grown since he has been here. He�s now working at our favorite store, Home Depot, and has been for almost a year. He does very well there, has great hours and just got promoted to the garden department with a raise.

Since Eve is the owner of the digital camera we had in the family, we don�t have too many new pictures to share with the exception of Mardi Gras and Mom�s house. We asked Santa to bring a digital camera this year, so hopefully, we will have more pictures for next year.

We sure are excited to have Byron and Viv come back down for the winter. Last year, John and I spent most of the time that they were here in New Orleans. It will be a lot easier now that we have our guest room back.

Other than regular work, construction work and gardening, not much else has happened this past year. Thank God we didn�t have any hurricanes to deal with, here or in New Orleans. We are just happy to be healthy and have a place to call home.

Well, as usual, the paper is getting short, so we close with warm and loving thoughts of each and every one of you. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

To most of you, I am merely a picture in your yearbook. However, in 1991 an event happened that caused me concern. The event: Operation Desert Storm. I was startled to learn that one of the first casualties was fellow classmate, Charles Turner. I have to admit, I didn�t know Charles Turner all that well. With a graduating class of our size you were lucky to remember the names of all those people. But I did recognize the name and I could remember his picture in the yearbook.

What really disturbed me; here was a person my age, fellow classmate, who lost his life fighting for my freedom. The event had such an impact on me that I honor the fact that Charles Turner risked his most prized possession for my freedom and the freedom we enjoy in this country.

As for me, I have traveled most of the continental United States, and parts of Europe, Canada and Mexico. I have a beautiful wife and 6 children. I work in the Telecomm industry with both computers and telephones. True to Ben Franklin�s words: I have become a �Jack of all trades, Master of One�.

I was engaged a few times.

Other: I've been living in Southern Cali for the past 13years - Did a lot of traveling in Mexico and French Polynesia -Did a little modeling for travel and sportsfishing magazines and occasionally still pop up in one ever now and again. I recently moved back to Minnesota last year (2002) with my 2 year old son. Have hooked up with a lot of my old friends - still get together with some of the gals every six months for dinner (Brenda Griffin, Sue Thompson, Jeanne Bjurman, Julie Gerdes, Lori Washburn, Jeanna Quist, Jodi Jacobson, Cindy Anderson) Steve Penney and I have also gone out and have been in touch. I also have been in contact with John Nolan - but haven't seen each other in over 20+ years. I never thought I'd leave Southern Cal and I never thought I'd be living in Richfield again...but here I am and I am loving it! I still collect old cars and recently bought a motorcycle (too bad there are only so many good months to ride here). Have had an adventurous life met a lot of wonderful people from all over the world - but there's no place like home! Other: Wow, high school seems like another lifetime ago! I don't know that many will remember me, but here's what I have been up to the past 25 years: After high school I went to BYU where I met and married my wonderful husband. We have been married for 24 years and have 5 incredible children: Peter 22, Rebecca 20, Scott 16, Katie 14 and Eric 11. I work in the real estate industry with my parents and siblings (who also live in Utah now.)I also keep busy with many family and church responsibilities as well as volunteer work in the Cub Scout organization and work with a local activity program for mentally handicapped individuals. (My 20-year old daughter was born with mild brain injury.) I have many wonderful memories of high school and of the time I lived in Minnesota. What a beautiful state and what great people!

I have two fabulous kids, Andy is 18 and will be playing basketball for Illinois State University this fall. Katie is 16 and is a Junior at J.D. Darnall High School in Geneseo Illinois, She is quite a volleyball player.I am very proud of my kids and all of their accomplishments.Aint parenthood grand? I hope that the reunion is a big success. Other: I've been at the U of MN for 22 years, I'm curently a Graphic Designer in the Med School, and love it! I'm remarried to a great guy, we've got 3 kids between us, my daughter, Victoria, 9, my son, Tristan 4, and his son Ryan, 9.

I missed seeing my friends at the 20 year reunion, so didn't go to the 25th. Hope it was fun. Still hangin' out with my best friend and cousin, Laurie from Windom, she married Kenny Bringle's brother Joel, so sometimes I her about some RHS people, otherwise I don't see or hear from anyone anymore.

Other: I have been in the U.S. Army Reserves for the past 21 years. I am still waiting for my retirement to become official. I am retiring as a staff sergant. I just returned from one year in Iraq in April 2004. I got married for the first time this past June 2004. My Wife is Anne. We will be expecting our first child in April 2005.
I work at Pre Hung Doors Inc. in Eagan. My hobbies are model railroading and woodworking. I also enjoy going up to my famlies cabin in Grand Rapid MN.

Other: The best updated info I can share is how Jesus Christ loves me very much. He has saved me from many toils, snares and from myself. In our school years I was part of the very low self esteem movie and never knew what treasure God had made in me. In looking back now I wish I could return and love Sheryl Lynn the true way she needed and never got. When God is for you, no one is against you. He has never left or forsaken me, even when I struggled out of low self esteem into self love. So much gets killed when one feels as rotten about herself as I did.

I am now in my 21st with United Health Group. I work in pre-notification of medical services (that phone number on the back of your card to call when medical services are going to be needed.) I am now in my 15th year of being an Outside Resource person for The Minnesota Department of Corrections Stillwater in chemical dependency. I found sobriety / recovery from hard liquor, pot, coke, hashish on 1/12/87 now 19 years sober. I am still single by my choice. I have watched too many divorce situations and married men wanting to have affairs to get my feet wet in marriage yet. Where are the good marriages? What makes them good? I am single with no cat but now have 4 plant babies to tend to. I sang and performed as a vocalist in Robert "Eddie" Robinsons Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir. I again sang alto as I did with Westby's choir, and Doctor Doctors Normandale choir. I have also used my sobriety in Minnesota DOC Shakopee both as an Outside Custody Volunteer and in the chemical dependency area. I am a house sitter, plant sitter, pet sitter while others go on world vacations to Australia, Europe, Dominican Republic... I get cool things sometimes when they return. I have great organizational and cleaning skills. I am very focused on getting results from any task I set out to do and get the satisfaction of my completed goal.

Travels include New York City for the 1999/2000 festival. When September 11 happened, I felt trapped in my cube at UHG. I have since then in 2002 - NY/Ground Zero, 2003 - Washington DC/Pentagon/Arlington Cemetery, 2004 - Shanksville PA/Flight 93. I have met many of the players in this drama and now have my own blessed story of 911.

I have 1 daughter born 1988. I was raped by a black male from south side of Chicago. He has other displaced children too. One of them is doing a life sentence for armed robbery murder in Illinois. I placed her in adoption. That was the painful thing of the 1980's. Now in 2005, I have had a face to face with the rapist and have forgiven him too.

In 2002, I was getting off the bus at work the morning of 12/6. A Golden Valley man hit my self and my co-worker Katherine Ann and she dies instantly at the scene. She is struck, flies through the air and gets caught in the back wheel and dragged. I got a lumbar fracture and was in a body brace for 4 months. In 2003, on the same day and within 8 minutes of Katherine, my father dies. 12/6 is a very hard day but taking action helps me heal. That was the painful thing so far of this decade.

A very hard lesson to learn is forgiveness. It is important to learn to be free to live today and now. I want to be ready for God's return someday. In the summer of 2005, I connected to a first love from high school. He is in the Army and allows me to come down to Fort McCoy to visit. Sounds great to me. He turns out to be married. I need to say that it very unfair and hurt a great deal. Yet out of this, I "play army" and have now lost 60 pounds so far. I am eating better and going for all kinds of walks every other day. I am also working with a Navy Seal personal trainer. I have the nick name "Major Tankrocket" Thank you Jesus for the Fort Mccoy experience with its lessons and personal growth. I support the war effort with sending 71 care packages to soldiers and have 20 waiting to be sent. It's great to come home and have mail from one or more of the soldiers from Iraq / Afghanistan / Kuwait (likewise with e-mail.) I also started in January 2006 to volunteer at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis to be close to the soldiers there.

I also enjoy researching topics of my choosing and investigating things. I love libraries especially the Minnesota State Law Library in Saint Paul. Thanks for reading a real story of one fantastic warm woman from 1979. Peace and blessings to you all in your journey. Sometimes life is cold and cruel to us. Hi, and welcome to the inside information on my family and life for the last 20 years.

I married Lori Nesheim, class of 1982. We have three children ages 7, 4 and 7 mo. They sure can keep life busy. And we all thought we would never have to use the phrase, "Because I'm your father!".

I am a Lead Paramedic for Allina Medical Transportation (formerly HealthSpan Transportation).

I enjoy sailing, skiing (ski patrol for 15 yrs), working on that bobsled run in the backyard (so call when winter rolls around) and of course playing with our KIDS.
