Comments: I Love the Christmas MIDI collection. I just start at the first one, and keep listening to them until they are all over. I just love Mannheim Steamroller, especailly the Christmas and Fresh Aire. You have got one of the best, if not the best collection of their music that was MIDI sequenced. Some of my favorite MIDI Christmas MIDI's are "Xmascomng" "Faithful" "Haljah" "Carbells" and "Linus2." There are many more but well....I like the whole collection. If you didnt realise most of the MIDI's I like are some that are re-mixed and fast paced. That is I guess mabey why I like Mannheim Steamroller. Like they said people call them "18th Century Rock" *Laugh* One thing I wish more people would do is include a listing of the songs like you did. Thats a great idea. *Pat on the back* If you ever tried to look for zipped MIDI files you probbaly know that it hard to find them. I did find a few, but that took awhile. Totaly, I have 5, 3.5 disks full, I mean not one k left, of MIDI's. One whole disk is your collection. Mabey I am just a MIDI fanantic? From the fist time I listned to one a few years ago (3yrs.) on a friends computer I always wanted to find more. It was just one that came with Windows95 (Beethoven 5th Symphony, to be exact.) Then when I had bought a new computer, which I thought I knew how to use, I wantd to find the MIDI's that were on my friend's computer. Well, after hours of searching, yes hours, I found them. I copied the .mid to a piece of paper, so i could remember it. Now I couldn't forget it. And I went on the web to look for more. Well, I went to www.Download.com to look for the, I told you I 'thought' I knew how to use the computer, and couldnt find any. Then I though "hmm...." I wonder if a Search Engine could find anything? I didn't know so I tried it, and sure enough I filled up 4 disks in a matter of 2 years. I have found everything I liked and even some stuff I didn't like, but I sure do like MIDI. One aspect that I truly do like is that when MIDI is playing you can still use your sound card for WaveForm (.wav) sound. If I play any wavs I had recorded or anything, and sound my computer made would be sent to the computer as a beep, not a sound. Also, MIDI is so much smaller in size than practicly any other computer sound file, based on quality. If you have a good quality sound card your MIDI's will sound a whole lot better, belive me I know. Think about it, what would you rather have, a sound file that is 660K for 8bit mono and one minute, or a MIDI file that is 17k for 4-5 minutes? I am a precussionist myself and I know what MIDI drums sound good and what don't, there are some big differences. But most, if not all of yours are wonderfly done with percussion instruments. Well, I guess this was a pretty good comment. I never have typed this much in a guestbook, but this is a pretty great site. I love every part of it. Great job and keep up the good work!

Comments: Dear Ms. Decker,
Just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE your photographic skills! I have a love of the North Shore and you have captured that emotion in your photos. I've noticed whenever I come accross a photo of that region that effects me I look and invariably find your credit on it.
Thanks for sharing your talent on the web.
I am especially fond of your photographs "Ice Train" and "Superior Sunrise."

Webmaster's Note: I wish I could help you, but I really don't know of a site that carries or searches for older recordings. You might want to try searching at Amazon.com for it. Good luck in your search.

Comments: Hi,

I enjoyed reading Don Dimonds adventures crossing the Great Lakes and looking at various photographs. I started sea kayaking a year ago in a 12 ft acadia by preception and advanced to an Old Town "Millennium 174. I will be visiting Minn in Sept. to paddle in the boundary waters and then to Lake superior to explore some of its coast Near Silver BAy by sea kayak. Glad I found this site Thank you.

Comments: Where is a good site or could you recommend a good tec book on midi
Dave A.
Webmaster's Note: If you find one, please let me know. What little I know about MIDI I learned in the MIDI forum on AOL and from playing around with different MIDI editors like Cakewalk and Winjammer. I've never really seen any good resources about the technical side of MIDI.

Comments: I came into your area looking for Ancestory places or genealogy, trying to find areas for surnames? I can't find a thing anywhere here? I'm sure you Minnesotians do have ancestors, or is it true what my husband tells me, all people from Northern MN are hatched under a rock?( he is from Northern MN himself).
I was hoping I could find a Library in MN, Northern part that would give some genealogy information, I can't find it if you do, anyway not in this site, is there a site for genealogy?
Webmaster's Note: There are a few links to Minnesota Genealogy resources on my Minnesota Learning page.

OK!  I'm ready to sign it!
