Eschweiler Email: ronald.eschweiler@phl.boeing.com Date: Tue, 29 May 2001 09:17:49 Homepage: Referred from: Other (Specify in Comments) Comments: I was searching the web under Honeywell Pentax when I came to your websight. I have a question maybe you can help. I have a Pentax SP1000 that used to belong to my father, now deceased. I would like to use the camara as it appears to be in good working order, except I cannot find a battery for it. Even camera shops shrug their shoulders. So first off, what kind of battery does it require? Any leads on where to purchase a battery. I live in wilmington, DE. Thanks a lot. I hope to hear from you. Webmaster's Note: I feel your pain. :/ The #400 battery that the Spotmatic uses was never upgraded from mercury to lithium, and hence, cannot be sold in the US. I had even emailed a few battery companies and Pentax asking what the deal was - where is a lithium version of the #400 battery. They all told me that there wasn't enough call for it - something I find unbelievable, considering that there must have been thousands of Spotmatics sold over the years.
Look on Ebay. I got some leads on a Canadian outfit that sells the "real thing". You can also find a gerry-rigged battery at some camera shops and on Ebay as well. It is a different battery that has been put into a plastic adapter to make it fit into the Spotmatic. I had gotten one of those and it did work, but battery life was very short - maybe due to the slight difference in voltage. I never pursued it any further because I ended up dropping the camera and breaking the light meter all together. :/ Good luck in your search!Name: Nada Grant Email: nagrant@bevcomm.net Date: Thu, 17 May 2001 13:38:33 Homepage: Referred from: Not a Clue... Comments: Can you please give the recipe served as desert at the Gov.Opening Fishing season? It was a bread pudding with rasperries and sauce. I was told how good it is. Thank you, Nada Grant Webmaster's Note: I don't know where one would find that particular recipe, but Grandma's Saloon & Deli has a Raspberry Bread Pudding on their dessert menu.Name: Gary Albert Email: GarySue1998@aol.com Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 08:01:29 Homepage: Referred from: Other (Specify in Comments) Comments: i would like to take Minnesota vacation guide.
