Note: AOL users who are using an external Netscape browser may need to use the internal AOL browser instead in order for the forms on the postcard pages to work.

How to Pick Up a Postcard

Click the link on this page labeled "Pick Up a Postcard."

On the next page, scroll the browser down until you see a button labeled "Here is your Digital Postcard" and click it.

On the next page, select your language and scroll down until you see the field in which you must enter your claim number or pickup number. This number is in the email that was sent to notify you that you have a postcard waiting. Enter your number in that field, then select "YES" or "NO" where it asks if your browser plays music, and then click "show me my Digital Postcard". Your postcard should then display.
If it doesn't work right away, please try again later. The postcard server (which is not my own server) could be experiencing problems.

How to Create a Postcard

Click the link on this page labeled "Create a Postcard"

On the next page you will see two sections. The first section is for English and German users only. The second section is for other languages. Select your language in the appropriate section, and then click the button labeled "Create Your Digital Postcard"

English and German users: Follow the instructions on the next page to select the your postcard's picture. All other languages: Follow the instructions on the next page and fill out the postcard creation form to design the layout of your card.

One you've completed # 3 (above), if you're using English or German, click the button labeled "continue (step 2)" at the bottom of the creation form once you've selected your postcard's image. All other languages click the button labeled "Preview" (may be in a different language) at the bottom of the form when you've finished designing your postcard.

If you're not using English or German, skip to #6 (below). English and German users: On the next page you will design the layout of your card. When you've finished, click the "Preview" button at the bottom of the form to preview your card.

If your card looks the way you want it to look, do the following: English and German users click the "Send Digital Postcard" button at the bottom of the preview page. All other users click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the preview page.

In addition to the images on the Web Postcard page, you can also use any of the images in my various photo directories or my Background Tiles Sampler. Here's what to do:

Go to my images pages (listed below) to view the images. If you find an image that you would like to use for your postcard, copy the URL (Web address) of the image

Return to this page and click on the link labeled "Create a Postcard"

Follow all of the steps above, except in the Picture Selection section, look for the "send any image on the Web" field or the "Custom Picture" field, click the radio button to select it, and enter the URL of the picture that you selected.

Continue from there as described above.

Graphics on this page were hand crafted from scratch and from other graphics by Martha Decker on a Dell 8300 using Corel Photo Paint and Paint Shop Pro. The page itself was created using Hot Dog Pro 7.03 for Windows. If you are interested in using any of my graphics, please send an email to the autoresponder Graphics@deckernet.com for permission.

This page was developed on a computer running at 1280x1024 resolution at 65K colors. If you are running at a different resolution or color depth, things might not look as intended. I HIGHLY recommend that you run at least 65K colors. The Web will look dramatically different to you - I guarantee it!

The background tile on this page was derived from a tile I found on the Corel Photo Paint Plus 5 CD.
